Delphi Meteora Tour 2 Days

Day 1-Athens to Delphi

Early in the morning pick up from your hotel and participate our small group tour. After finishing collection of other passengers in some other hotels we will head off to Delphi. Begin our visit with Sanctuary of Apollo with incredible panoramic views of the Itea Valley, the Archaeological Museum of Delphi highlighting sculptures such as the Sphinx of Naxos, the Auriga of Delphi or the statue of Antinous. Once we complete the archaeological visits, making our way towards Thessaly, to the north. We will make a stop for lunch in a restaurant proposed by your guide when you can treat yourself a lunch with a direct payment to restaurant. Arrival to the village of Kalambaka, under the monasteries of Meteora. Overnight at your hotel in Kalambaka. Dinner at the hotel (exclude drinks).

Day 2- Trip in Meteora Monasteries and Travel to Athens

After having our breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning departure from our hotel and commence our visits to the monasteries of Meteora. There are many beautiful and incredible monasteries in the region but today we will visit two important monasteries. There were up to twenty this kind of Byzantine monasteries but currently only five are open for visit.

They began to be built in the 14th century and continue to be built until the 16th century. We will enjoy the important treasures and relics inside.

Do not forget that women should wear a long skirt and have shoulders covered. At the end of the visits we will start the way back, four to five hours by coach until returning to Athens. We will make a brief stop at the Thermopylae Pass, famous for Leonidas and his 300 Spartans. We will also stop for lunch en route-not included. Arrival in Athens estimated between 19:00 pm and 20:00 pm. Our coach will leave you to your hotel. End of our services.
